Gavalas’ Nykteri pays tribute to this unique winemaking style, producing a wine with a golden colour, a nose of ripe peach, apricot and jasmine, with flavours of banana and vanilla due to the 6 months of ageing in French oak. Traditionally high in alcohol, Nykteri wine ages amazingly well with an ageing potential 15 years and over, suitable for wine investment.
The high acidity and strong minerality of all Santorini wines is toned down in Nykteri by nutty flavours, and a slightly oily buttery consistence on the pallet. The finish is long and complex with spices and truffle undertones. A must drink for every wine lover.
