While Moraitis winery produces some of the finest Monemvasia wine on the island, it also cultivates an array of other varieties, amongst which the indigenous and extremely rare, almost extinct variety, Aidani Mavro (Black in English) is one.

The Aidani Mavro vines grow on the dry and scattered soil of the island of Paros, in a single vineyard located in Ystern, northern Paros. The grape variety produces wines with a high that allows for long maturation potential, uncommon to rosé wine.

The wine is characterized by elegance and uniqueness of aroma.  The squashed grapes are kept with the skins for 4 hours while they cold-soak and macerate, imparting an intense bouquet and flavours of red fruits such as strawberries, raspberries and cherries. Refreshing and juicy, crisp on the pallet with medium acidity, it is the perfect partner for any occasion and meal.

Produced in very limited quantities (only 1125 cases of each vintage), this is a top of the range, rare and unique rosé with true Aegean identity.
