– Sold OutMoraitis Paros White is fermented out of grapes grown in coastal vineyards overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, from the shores of Naoussa, Paros. As climate change is modifying the underlying character of certain wines, the ocean’s regulating influence is an asset for the grapevines here, in terms of their consistency between harvest, and is crucial in imparting unique flavour and structure into the wine.
Cooler days and warmer nights, combined with steady, moderate temperatures, give coastal wines an intrinsic character and potential not found in inland wines. Lower acidity and a mouthful of flavours are typical characteristics found in this type of wine.
Moraitis Paros White is aged in stainless steel vats, while undergoing a short period of ageing on the lees for more freshness. An ideal partner for mild summer days and definitely a crowd-pleaser, this pale-yellow wine with green hues shows a delicate bouquet of citrus fruits, pineapple and elusive hints of white pepper. On the palate it is quite rich and full with a crisp, but well balanced acidity, gliding into a long and persistent finish.
